About PT Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya (Persero)
PT Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya (Persero) – DPS or commonly known as DOK Surabaya is a reputable state-owned shipyard company in Indonesia, based in Surabaya East Java.
DPS history started in September 22, 1910 when the colonial Dutch Government established N.V Drogdok Maatschappij. It was originally intended to service Dutch ships in Indonesia. Between 1942 and 1945, the company was managed by the Japanese Government under the name of Harima Zosen.
After its nationalization on January 1, 1961, N.V Droogdok Maatschappij Soerabaja became a state-owned company named P.N Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya. Based on the decree by the Minister of Sea Communication in 1963, the dockyard Sumber Bhaita was integrated into the company. Then, since January 8, 1976 the company has assumed a new legal status as PT. Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya (Persero), acronym DPS.
Since 1961 alone from the available database DPS has repaired and built more than 600 various types of ships, ordered by both local and foreign customers.
Since its nationalization in 1961, DPS has been a leading company in ship repair with wide variety of type and size of ships ordered by Clients from different parts of the world. In shipbuilding & engineering, DPS has been carrying out overseas orders for some years. We have records of accomplishment in ship conversion technology and non-vessel services, including design and engineering products, offshore construction, crane fabrication and assembly, and any other steel structure fabrication related to our core competence. DPS now has the productivity level of steel throughput of 10,000 tons annually which is equal to the new shipbuilding capacity of four 6,500 DWT ship annually.
DPS is a strategically located in Surabaya, second largest city in Indonesia, with easy access from major cities in the world. It is only 1-hour flight from Jakarta, 2 hours from Singapore, 3 hours from Kuala Lumpur and 4 hours from Tokyo. Surabaya is surrounded by beautiful places. Bali, Yogyakarta, Bromo welcome you. While you are waiting your ships to be repaired or built, you have an opportunity to visit one of the world’s seven wonders –Borobudur Temple– or taste delicious culinary. Other advantage of our shipyard is very close to the port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya, one of the international ports in Indonesia.

Job Description
General Requirements :
- Indonesian Citizen (WNI), with the maximum age of 30 years old;
- Fluent in English, both oral and written;
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Minimum GPA of 2.75 (PTN) or 3.00 (PTS) for D3/D4/S1;
- Minimum average national exam score of 7.00 for SMK;
- Accreditation faculty or department minimal B;
- SKCK;
- Health certificate;
- Willing to replace all expenses incurred from the beginning of the recruitment process when resigning of his/her own accord after being accepted;
Specific Requirements :
- Preferably already experienced.
- Preferably domicile in Jakarta or willing to be placed in Jakarta for SMK / D1 office administration.
- For engineering preferably have a certificate of expertise: welder, fitter, lathe, lifting and transport equipment operators, general AK3.
- For the field of administrative work preferably have a certificate of expertise: brevet, export-import, procurement, archiving.
