PD. Pasar Jaya is a local company owned by the goverment of DKI Jakarta Province that perform public services in market management sector, empower the market traders, assist to price stability and the swift distribution of goods and services.

Pasar Jaya manages 153 traditional markets with a trade turnover of more than 150 billion rupiah per year with 105.223 stalls. Based on a survey, the traditional markets managed by Pasar Jaya are visited by more than 2 million people every day, or approximately 20% of Jakarta Population.

Pasar Jaya was established based on Governor’s Decree No.lb.3/2/15/66 on December 24, 1966. Continued with Minister of Home Affairs’s Decree No. Ekbang 8/8/13-305 dated December 23, 1967. Furthermore, to enhance the status and its legal as well as adjustments to the development of the capital city of Jakarta, the Governor’s decree was enhanced by the Regional Regulation No.7 In year 1983 concerning Perusahaan Daerah Pasar Jaya. This Regulation was approved by Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs No. 511231-181 dated 19 April 1983 and was published in the provincial sheet No. 34 Year 1983 D series No. 33.

In the efforts to improve the role of Pasar Jaya as a more professional regional company and to anticipate competitive increasing demand of business development in traditional and modern market and to improve its function and role. Pasar Jaya, on December 30, 1999, were set back with Regional Regulation No. 12 Year 1999 concerning Regional Company Pasar Jaya in Jakarta Capital Region, which was published in the Provincial Sheet No. 35 year 1999.

Overtime, the markets continue to grow. At first, the market is only a meeting place for merchants and consumers for direct transactions, as time goes by and constantly changing consumer’s demand, the market is not only playing that role. The market has become a complete and complex business entity where convenience and customer’s satisfaction are the main objectives.

• MT Keuangan dan Administrasi (KEU) : Accounting, Taxation, Economic, Finance Management, Management.
• MT Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) : Informatics Management, Psychology, Sociology, Law and Social.
• MT Legal Korporasi (LEG) : Law.
• MT Penelitian dan Pengembangan (PEN) : Management, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or other disciplines with relevant experience.
• MT Pembangunan dan Perawatan Property (PRO) : Civil Engineering, Architecture, Regional Planning, ME, Highrise Building, Electro.
