Badan Narkotika Nasional Republik Indonesia – BNN is the National Narcotics Agency of Republic of Indonesia. BNN is the non ministrial government agency in Indonesia with main duties in the prevention, eradication abuse and illicit traffic in psychotropic substances, precursors, and other addictive ingredients except for the addictive ingredient of tobacco and alcohol. The Government Agency was established in 2002 based on Presidential Decree Number 17 of 2002.

BNN is based in Jakarta and its head office is registered at Jl MT Haryono No 11 Cawang, Jakarta Timur. BNN was lead by a chief who is directly responsible to the President through the coordination of the Chief of the Indonesian National Police. Since December 2012, BNN was lead by Komjen Pol Drs Anang Iskandar. According to BNN’s profile as cited by JobsCDC.com, the Chief of BNN is assisted by 5 deputies, namely Deputy Prevention, Deputy for Community Empowerment, Deputy Eradication, Deputy Rehabilitation and Deputy Legal Affairs and Cooperation.

Badan Narkotika Nasional is a non-ministerial government institution under and responsible LIVE to the President through the coordination of the Chief of Police of the Republic of Indonesia. BNN led by Head.

Task of BNN:

• Develop and implement a national policy on the prevention and eradication of abuse and illicit traffic of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursor;
• Prevent and combat the abuse and illicit traffic of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursor;
• Coordinate with Chief of Police of the Republic of Indonesia in the prevention and eradication of abuse and illicit traffic of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursor;
• Improving the ability of medical rehabilitation institutions and social rehabilitation addicts Narcotics, both organized by the government and society;
• Empowering communities in the prevention of abuse and illicit traffic of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursor;
• Monitor, steer and improve community activities in the prevention of abuse and illicit trafficking Narcotics Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances;
• Through bilateral and multiteral, both regionally and internationally, in order to prevent and combat illicit traffic of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursor;

• In addition to its duties as above, BNN is also in charge of preparing and implementing the national policy on the prevention and eradication of abuse and illicit trafficking psychotropic substances, precursors and other addictive substances addictive ingredients except for tobacco and alcohol.

Function of BNN:

• The preparation and formulation of national policies in the field of prevention and eradication of abuse and illicit trafficking of narcotics, psychotropic substances and precursors and other addictive substances addictive ingredients except for tobacco and alcohol hereinafter abbreviated as P4GN.
• The preparation, formulation and setting norms, standards, criteria and procedures P4GN.
• Preparation of planning, programming and budgeting BNN.
• The preparation and formulation of technical policy of prevention, community development, eradication, rehabilitation, law and cooperation in the field of P4GN.
• Implementation of national policy and technical kebijakna P4GN in the field of prevention, community development, eradication, rehabilitation, law and cooperation.
• Implementation of technical assistance in the field of P4GN to vertical agencies in the BNN.
• Coordination of relevant government agencies and community components for the preparation and formulation and implementation of national policy in the field of P4GN.
• To provide guidance and administrative services in the BNN.
• Facilitation and coordination of community participation container.
• Implementation of the investigation of abuse and illicit traffic of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursor.
• Implementation of an organized crime network disconnection in the field of narcotics, psychotropic substances and precursors and other addictive substances, except material for tobacco and alcohol addictive.

• Implementation of national cooperation, regional and international in the field P4GN.
• Implementation of functional oversight of the implementation of environmental P4GN on BNN.

• Have an OJT certificate of rehabilitation institutions.
• Have an interest in the field of addiction.
• Physical condition to qualify for a full time job.
• Ethics in the execution of duties
