About Komisi Ombudsman RI
Ombudsman Republik Indonesia – Komisi Ombudsman Nasional is the State in institution in Indonesia, which has the authority to oversee the implementation of the public service is well organized by the organizer of the State and Government, including those held by State-owned enterprises, Local-owned enterprises, legal entities and State-owned as well as private bodies or individuals who are given the task of organizing the public service in particular that some or all of their funds are sourced from State Budget income and Expenditure income and Expenditure Budget or area. This institution was established by Act No. 37 of 2008 about the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia which was passed in the HOUSE of REPRESENTATIVES Plenary Meeting on 9 September 2008.
Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia to the formation of “the national Ombudsman Commission” on March 20, 2000 based on the Presidential Decree Number 40 of the year 2000. The role of the national Ombudsman Commission was conducting surveillance against the granting of public services by the organizers of the State, including STATE-OWNED ENTERPRISES/LOCAL GOVERNMENT, institutions of the national land Agency, Court, Police, Prosecutor’s Office, local governments, departments and ministries, Nongovernmental Agency departments, Universities, the ARMY, and so on.
In the exercise of those powers KON hold on principle to listen to both sides (imparsial) and does not receive any kind of reward people who report or any establishments that reported. KON does not have the authority to prosecute or drop the sanctions to establishments that reported, but it gives recommendations to the agencies to conduct self-correction. Resolving complaints by KON is one alternative problem solving efforts (alternative dispute resolution) in addition to other methods that require a relatively long time and cost that must be removed.
The task of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia are:
- Receive reports of alleged Maladministrasi in implementing public service.
- Perform an examination of the substance of the report.
- Follow up report is included in the scope of those powers.
- Initiate an investigation on the initiative of its own against the alleged Maladministrasi in implementing public service.
- Do the coordination and cooperation with State institutions or other government agencies as well as individual and societal institutions.
- Build networks.
- Do Maladministrasi prevention efforts in the implementation of the public service.
- Perform other duties provided by law.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Citizens of the Republic of Indonesia.
- Have high integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia.
- Has status as a candidate for Civil Servants / Civil Servant.
- There was never dismissed with respect not his own request or not with respect as CPNS / PNS / Members Military / Police or dishonorably discharged as a private employee.
- There was never sentenced to prison or jail based on court decisions that already have permanent legal force, due to perform a criminal act.
- Not a member of a political party or committee.
- Willing to be placed throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.
- Understand / master the use of computers (office) and internet (browsing and electronic mail).
