About Badan Kepegawaian Negara (BKN)

Badan Kepegawaian Negara – BKN is the Indonesian Ministry of Non- Government Authority on duty to perform the duties of government in the field of staffing management . NCB head now are Drs . Eco Sutrisno , M.Si.


At the time of colonization, some state officials are under the government of the Republic of Indonesia and some of them are under the government of the Netherlands Indies . Developmentally appropriate , where the role of government apparatuses increasingly felt , the government should consider re-established the position , function , task , and organization CTP . This view is as stipulated in Government Regulation No. 32 of 1950 with the implementation rules defined in the Prime Minister’s Decision No. RI 30/PM/1951 April 7th 1951.

For that purpose , the CTP is the institution in charge of doing construction staffing converted into the National Civil Service Administration Agency ( BAKN ) of Government Regulation No. 32 Year 1972. Government regulation setting is also the implementation of Law No. 18 of 1961 .

By Government Regulation Number 32 Year 1972 , the position , function , task , organization and work system to manage staffing of institutions , are being developed .

Based on the Government Regulation , BAKN designated as a non departmental government institution of standing directly under and responsible to the President , has the function to execute, maintain and develop the country in the field of administrative staffing to achieve smooth path rule .

Duties and Functions

To be able to maintain its function , BAKN have the following duties :

  1. Construction staffing plan in accordance with the wisdom of the President;
  2. Planning legislation in the field of staffing;
  3. Maintain administration and clerical staffing retirement ;
  4. Maintain oversight , coordination and guidance on the implementation of legislation in the field of staffing and pension in -departmental ministries and state agencies / Government Boards Non department .
