Qatar Petroleum – QP is the national oil company (NOC) of the State of Qatar. The Company was founded in 1974 based on Emiri Decree No. 10 of 1974. QP is based in Doha Qatar and operates all oil and gas activities in the State of Qatar, including exploration, production, refining, transport, and storage. The Company’s products include Oil (fuels, lubricants), Natural gas (LNG), and Petrochemicals.
As of December 2012, Qatar Petroleum has 8 directly-owned subsidiaries, Industries Qatar Q.S.C. (effective percentage holding 2012 : 51%), Qatar Petroleum Qatar Gas 3 Limited (100%), Qatar Holding Intermediate Industries Company Limited (100%), Qatar Petroleum International Limited (100%), Al Shaheen Holding Q.S.C. (100%), Qatar Petroleum Qatar Gas (4) Company Limited (100%), Gulf International Services Q.S.C. (100%), QP Ras Gas (III) Limited (100%).
