Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan Republik Indonesia – KKP or The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries – CTF is the ministry in charge of the Government of Indonesia marine affairs and fisheries. Surely this is what underlies President Abdurrahman Wahid by Presidential Decree 355 / M of 1999 dated October 26, 1999 in the Cabinet of 1999-2004 raised Ir. Sarwono Kusumaatmadja as Minister for Exploration of the Sea.

Furthermore, the appointment was followed by the establishment of the Department of Ocean Exploration (DEL) and the details of its duties and functions through Presidential Decree No. 136 of 1999 dated 10 November 1999 on the Status, Duties, Functions, Organizational Structure and Administration of the Department. It turns out that the use of the nomenclature DEL did not last long because based on the proposed Parliament and various parties, has made changes to the mention of the Minister of Exploration of the Sea Exploration of the Sea and the Minister of Fisheries under Presidential Decree No. 145 of 1999 dated December 1, 1999. These changes were followed by replacement nomenclature DEL to the Department exploration of the Sea and Fisheries (Delp) through Presidential Decree No. 147 of 1999 dated December 1, 1999.

In a further development, there has been a cabinet reshuffle after the Annual Session in 2000, and a change in nomenclature Delp to the Department of Marine and Fisheries (DKP) according to Presidential Decree No. 165 of 2000 on 23 November 2000 on the status, tasks, functions, powers, composition of organization and Administration of the Department.

Later changed to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 47 of 2009 on the Establishment and Organization of the Ministry of State, the Department of Marine and Fisheries Nomenclature into the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

Assignment

  • Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries has organized a task in the field of maritime affairs and fisheries in the government to help the President in running the state government.

Function

In performing its duties, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries has the functions:

  1. formulation, determination, and implementation of policies in the fields of marine and fisheries
  2. management of property / wealth of the country are the responsibility of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries
  3. supervise the execution of duties in the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries
  4. implementation of technical guidance and supervision over the conduct of the affairs Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in the area
  5. implementation of technical activities at the national scale

  • Familiar with image processing softwares (ENVI/ERMAPPER/ERDAS or others).
  • Familiar with GIS softwares (ArcGIS/ArcView/Map Info or others).
  • Preferably mastering programming language (Phyton/FORTRAN/ MATLAB or others).

Pengolah Data
Ocean Modelling (OM)

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor Degree (S1) in Oceanography, Marine Science, Physics, Mathematics.
  • Male/Female, single with maximum age of 27 years old.
  • Mastering programming language (FORTRAN/ MATLAB)
  • Understanding the time series data and marine spatial.

General Requirements

  • Indonesian Citizens.
  • Never sentenced to prison or jail by a court decision that has had permanent legal force for committing a criminal act.
  • Never dishonorably discharged as a civil servant or employee of private employees.
  • Not under contract with the company or a member of any other profession.
  • Not running a formal education.
  • Well-behaved.
  • Physically and mentally healthy.
  • Not being a member or committee of a political party.
