Institut Teknologi Sumatera – ITERA is a public university located in the city of Bandar Lampung. ITERA was established under Presidential Decree No. 124 of 2014 on the establishment of the Institute of Technology Sumatra (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Year 2014 No. 253) stipulated the President of the Republic of Indonesia Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, on October 6, 2014 and enacted on October 9, 2014. Although the inauguration held in 2014, but has started ITERA academic activities by accepting new students since 2012-2013. Besides ITB and ITS, with the opening of ITERA and Technology Institute Kalimantan, the Indonesian government now has four institutes of technology.
On October 6, 2014, the President of the Republic of Indonesia through Presidential Regulation has inaugurated Institute of Technology Sumatra (ITERA) in Bandar Lampung and Kalimantan Technology Institute (CTI) in Singapore as the State Universities. ITERA pioneered its establishment and will be developed and built by the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) for the next 10 years with a minimum quality equivalent to the ITB. The study program organized by the Institute of Technology of Sumatra is to meet the needs of power sar-jana in Indonesia, especially in Sumatra.
Before the opening of ITERA and ITK as public universities, in Indonesia only has two (2) Institute of Technology underdog, the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and the Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya; The second institute is located on the island of Java. On the one hand, the two universities at this time capacity already exceeds the maximum capacity, while on the other hand, the need for graduates of institutes of technology at the national level has increased. On the basis of these requirements, the Ministry of Education and Culture decided to increase the number of institutes of technology in Indonesia, in order to improve the quality and equity of human resources at the national level.
In respect of this, the government plan the establishment of the Institute of Technology in Sumatra and Kalimantan. Institute of Technology in Sumatra will be initiated pendidriannya as well as developed and constructed by the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) with a minimum quality equivalent to the ITB. Construction of an Institute of Technology in Sumatra are also associated with the Masterplan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economists (MP3EI). Mentioned in the documents MP3EI that one of the basic principles for the development success is productivity, innovation, and creativity driven by Science and Technology (Science and Technology), and is regarded as one of the pillars of change. In this regard, the development of superior human resources, quality, mastering science and technology, and also have a good entrepreneurial character becomes very important.
In the context of the implementation of MP3EI major strategies, the role of educated human resources is the key factor in supporting sustainable economic growth. Therefore, the main objective in the education and training system to support the foregoing should be able to create human resources who can adapt quickly to the development of science and technology. Efforts to accelerate national development, particularly in the fields of science, technology and art, requires readiness providing superior human resources.
To that end, the Ministry of Education and Culture has the establishment of institutes of technology programs in the country Sumatra. Preparation of proposals establishment has done in 2011. Institute of Technology in Sumatra has been set will be located in Kota Baru, South Lampung District, Lampung Provinsiinsi (Ministry of Education Decree No.060 / P / 2012). Status of implementation of the college will be determined by Presidential Decree. With regard to the plan, based on assignment from the Ministry of Education and Culture in the early stages (pending the completion of the campus infrastructure development), development and implementation will be carried out by the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) in cooperation with the rest of the provincial government in Sumatra.

Jobs Description
Requirements :
- Indonesian citizens;
- Has a degree S2 or S3 Linear with study programs that meet the academic qualifications and areas of expertise required (see Table Formation Name Position, Education Qualifications and Expertise);
- S1 & S2 legalized.
- S1 & S2 legalized transcript.
- Degree from an accredited study minimal B;
- Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.2 for the S2 education at state universities and a minimum of 3.3 for the S2 education at PTS;
- Good research experience;
- Having experience as a lecture or lab assistant;
- Healthy physical / spiritual and free from drugs;
- Good character and has never been convicted by a court decision that has had permanent legal force; can be proposed upon receipt and
- Age Lecturer Non-Civil: S2 and S3 maximum 35 years maximum 40 years.
